Ingredients
- 1.5-2 lbs boneless sirloin steak, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- Salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cans beef consomme (found in the canned soup area of grocery store)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- Sour cream to taste
- Egg noodles
Directions
- Mix meat with flour, paprika, salt and pepper in bowl. Let stand for 10-15 minutes.
- In electric skillet (or skillet on the stove over medium-high heat), heat olive oil. Add onions and meat and brown meat on all sides.
- Add 2 cans of beef consomme, bay leaf, oregano and thyme.
- Simmer on low heat for 40-45 minutes, until meat is tender.
- Add mushrooms and sour cream to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles.
