Thankful for Friends!

I really don't know if I would cut it as a stay-at-home mom if it wasn't for my mom-friends. Chris and I are extremely blessed to be a part of a church with lots of young families. Every other week our church hosts a group called Mom's Circle that allows moms to have fellowship with other moms for a few hours. We have breakfast, time for chatting and then we listen to a short message. I haven't been able to go that often yet, but I look forward to making this group part of our regular schedule.

My mom-friends are also very good about trying to get together with other moms and their kids throughout the week. This has been sooooo wonderful because I don't do too well when I'm alone for long periods of time. Over the past few weeks I have been able to spend some quality time with some of my mom-friends. I didn't take photos every time but here are some of the few I did manage to capture!

Jill Udey has been one of my best friends since college. We kind of "grew up" together while at we were at Drake. We both starting dating our now husbands around the same time and had our first children this past year. I actually met Jill's daughter, Emma, on the day that I found out that I was pregnant with Addison. Needless to say, I spilled the beans to Jill right away! Even though they are 9 months apart, they will surely grow up to be the best of friends, just like their mommas!

Liz Klein is one of those people that I will continually thank the Lord for. As Chris and I began looking forward to trying to have kids, I was extremely nervous about being one of the first in our group of friends to be a mom. I was soooooo excited when I found out last winter than Liz and her husband, Drew, were expecting their first kiddo in July. From there, a beautiful friendship was "born." Liz has become one of my most dear friends as we have literally shared everything about pregnancy, labor and delivery and our kiddos with each other.

I am also blessed to be able to watch little Madie on Thursdays and Fridays. Our girls are able to spend LOTS of quality time with each other. These two have been destined to be best friends since before birth!

Despite being 8 weeks apart, Addie has quickly
caught up to Madie's size. I think she just wants to
share clothes!
Amanda Rude has also been one of my best friends since college. I am so thankful that Amanda is no longer pregnant! Her son, Max, isn't even a month old yet, but she deserves the "Mother of the Year" award with what she went through during pregnancy. They are both doing great now and are getting ready to move into a house that just happens to be less than a minute away from us! Addie and Max love spending time with each other, but their dads have warned us that they can only be friends until they are three. Haha, we will see what ends up happening, but I am sure Max and Addie will be great friends!

Max wasn't too interested in Addie....
Addison got a liiiiitle agressive..... Sorry Max!
I absolutely LOVE spending time with my mom-friends and Addie's future friends. I look forward to many more playdates and even more friends that are on their way!
