Getting Ready!

With about a week and a half left until my official due date, I decided to post one last time before this little one arrives. At almost 39 weeks, I can officially say that I am ready for this pregnancy to be over. I still feel extremely blessed by how well this pregnancy has gone, but between my swollen limbs and the weight gain, I am just uncomfortable all the time. This is the stage where I am constantly getting sympathetic looks from family, friends and complete strangers which is often accompanied with, "you look like you're going to pop!!"
37 weeks at the Cy-Hawk Game
GO CYCLONES!
I think one of the hardest things about these last few weeks is playing the waiting game. I literally could go into labor as I am writing this, or it could still be over a week away! I'm not a very patient person so this is a huge challenge for me.

Overall, Chris and I are hanging in there. It's been physically hard for me lately, but it has been an emotional battle for the both of us as my due date approaches. I can't really explain the bittersweet feeling of being crazy-excited to meet our daughter, but also realizing that everything is about to change.

For those of you who were unable to attend my baby shower or haven't talked to me recently, we decided to announce the name of our little girl. I had slipped up and said her name enough times and was just too excited about it to keep it a secret until her birth. However, I still don't know what her middle name will be. Chris wanted that to remain a secret so he has chosen the middle name, but hasn't told me yet! I don't think I will find out until she is born, but that's okay with me. Our good friend, Rachael, painted this super cute name sign for her room!

To help pass the time until Addison arrives, Chris and I have been busy getting her room ready. We are pretty close to having everything ready and I LOVE the way everything has turned out! I didn't plan on doing so many DIY (do-it-yourself) projects, but it was a lot of fun! Here are some photos:
I found this dresser on
craigslist for $30!
The changing table is stocked
and ready to go!

Addison is already quite the spoiled
little girl. Our friends, Jami and Jess,
generously gave us a TON of clothing!
I doubt she will ever repeat an outfit!

This is my absolute FAVORITE part of the room!
One of my best friends, Katie Skillman, painted this custom
mural for us. Katie is so incredibly talented!!!
I think Addie will LOVE it!

Also, my wonderful mother-in-law made the curtains. I had
bought some cheap curtains at Walmart, but they were
just a bit too short. Brita knew just what to do and they match
perfectly with the room.
The only thing left to finish is the rocking chair for the room.  My sister, Lindsey, gave me a chair they weren't using. It didn't really match the room so Chris and I painted the chair off-white and Brita and I picked out new fabric for the cushions. I am excited to see how it turns out!

It is pretty crazy to think that the next time I post, I will actually have pictures of Addison! I will be able to hold her, feed her, change her, know her full name and so much more! I just can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
